Bratton Water Fly Fishing Report 10th Feb 2011

Mr Adam Gell of Porlock, North Devon had a brown trout of a lifetime weighing in at an impressive 7lb. This fine specimen was caught on a local fly – the enigma. Bratton Water trout fishery is a small specialist brown trout fishery in North Devon, with most of the brown trout being stocked at 2-3lbs. The lake at Bratton water is trickle stocked from our fish farm on site. Quality of fish is paramount to the ethos of our stocking policy. We bring fish on slowly, only trickle feeding pellets and limiting the amount of fish held per stock pond. This leads for fish feeding on natural insects whilst being brought on and increases the quality of the fish we stock with all fish fin perfect and fighting fit.
